A woman has avoided prison after she fell on and broke a police officer's wrist during an altercation on a street in Motherwell.
The male police officer suffered physical and psychological effects after the incident that left him unable to work for three months, a court was told.
32-year-old Kimberley Brunton admitted to assaulting the officer to his severe injury in McClurg Court, on April 12 last year, Lanarkshire Live reports.
Hamilton Sheriff Court heard the officer and colleagues had attended a report of a disturbance. Brunton lashed out, and during a struggle the officer fell to the ground and she landed on top of his arm, breaking his wrist.
Brunton, of Primrose Crescent, Motherwell, also admitted assaulting another officer during the incident while her partner, Daniel Tobin, 3
