SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The Visual Arts Center at the Washington Pavilion is adding holiday spirit to its selection with an exhibition allowing visitors to explore the artwork that brought the Grinch to life.
Now on view in Gallery 301, “From Whoville to Your TV: The Art of the Grinch” showcases original production cels, sketches, and drawings from the 1966 animated special by Chuck Jones.
This exhibition, drawn from Bill Heeter and Kristi Correa’s collection, highlights the expressive animation and detail that brought the Grinch and Whoville to life.
“Seeing these original cels in person brings a new appreciation for the craftsmanship behind a story so many of us grew up with,” says Jana Anderson, Lead Curator for Washington Pavilion Management Inc.
