Nayeema Raza , the creator and host of the podcast “Smart Girl Dumb Questions,” has signed CAA for representation.

Raza, previously a senior staff editor with The New York Times’ opinion section, ran the “Sway” podcast for the media outlet, and has co-hosted Semafor’s “Mixed Signals” and worked as the on-air executive producer of “On With Kara Swisher.”

On “Smart Girl Dumb Questions,” Raza uses simple questions, humor and journalism to probe big ideas. In the first episode of the series, she asked Mark Cuban, “Can billionaires save us?” She has also interviewed Neil deGrasse Tyson, Esther Perel, Mayor Eric Adams and Diplo.

Raza frequently serves as a guest moderator on NPR’s “Open to Debate.” She has spoken

at TED, SxSW, and the Milken Global Conference.
