The 'happiest places to live' in Manchester have now been revealed, with a leafy south Manchester suburb taking the top spot. A new survey of 5,000 people was conducted by online store Furniturebox, who set up panels across the UK to find the happiest area in each county and big city.
Locations were ranked according to the beauty of the surroundings and green spaces, access to good education, affordable properties and access to good quality pubs, restaurants, independent shops and cultural attractions.
Last year, it was the trendy suburb of Didsbury which came in at first place out of all Manchester areas. This year, Chorlton was ranked as the happiest place to live in Manchester, where residents feel the 'biggest sense of joy and belonging.'
