Bolton is set to sparkle this season as the spectacular Christmas programme is unveiled. The town centre will sparkle with lighted decorations and Christmas trees.

From this weekend right up to December 25, residents and visitors can enjoy a packed programme of pantos, live shows, Santa’s grottos and artisan markets. A printed guide to Christmas in Bolton summarising all the events on offer is available to pick up in libraries, leisure centres, shops, garden centres and cafes.

Coun Nadeem Ayub, Bolton council’s cabinet member for culture, said: “Christmas in Bolton is about bringing people together to celebrate this special time of year. From Santa’s grottos for the little ones to pantomimes for the whole family, there is so much on offer.
