PEORIA COUNTY ( 25News Now ) - A youth sports coach has confessed to Bartonville Police that he sexually assaulted one of his students and sent her explicit pictures, Peoria County prosecutors said.

Aydan Trueblood, 22, of Peoria appeared in court Monday on a charge of predatory criminal sexual assault, which is a Class X felony.

The alleged victim, questioned by authorities at the Child Advocacy Center, said she and Trueblood communicated on Snapchat, and that she snuck out of her house to meet him. A state’s attorney’s office release also said Trueblood drove her to his parents’ home, where the assault took place.

In his confession, Trueblood reportedly said the assault happened in February.
