STANTON, Neb. (KTIV) - Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger has announced he is not seeking re-election, stating he will soon be retiring.

In a press release sent out on Monday, Dec. 1, the sheriff looked back on his decades of service to the county.

Sheriff Unger said after he finishes out his term, he’ll be spending more time with family and loved ones.
