PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Your next food delivery order could come from a self-driving car!

On Tuesday, DoorDash announced that customers who buy from participating DashMart locations in the greater metro Phoenix area may get their ordered via Waymo.

Customers who place orders on DoorDash within Waymo’s 315-square mile service area in the Valley could be greeted with a fully autonomous Waymo vehicle making the delivery.

The companies say the new service offers increased safety, convenience and sustainability to customers .
