RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting on Percival Road last week , according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

Sheriff Leon Lott announced Tuesday that Mario Baca Corrales was taken into custody following the November 29, 2025 killing in the 300 block of Percival Road.

Deputies previously found the victim unresponsive with a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators determined Corrales and the victim, who were acquaintances, were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into gunfire. Corrales was identified as the shooter.

On December 1, RCSD’s Fugitive Task Force located Corrales at an acquaintance’s home in Summerville and took him into custody. He was transported to the Alvin S. Glenn
