HURON, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The South Dakota Highway Patrol has released the name of a man involved in a single-vehicle crash that happened one mile southeast of Hudson, SD.

Preliminary crash information indicates Teague Jacob Rus was traveling northbound on 488th Avenue near 294th Street, pulling a male on a snowboard.

The snowboarder fell, and the truck backed up, hitting a juvenile male who had fallen from the bed of the truck.

The group drove the injured teen to the Haywarden Regional Hospital in Iowa, where he died from his injuries.

There were no other injuries, and charges are pending against the driver.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, and all information released so far is only preliminary.
