Parents will be receiving some extra money in their bank accounts from next year. This is because the Government has announced an increase to Child Benefit payments for the 2026/27 financial year.
You get Child Benefit if you’re responsible for bringing up a child who is under 16 or under 20 if they stay in approved education or training. It is usually paid every four weeks.
Chancellor Rachel Reeves delivered her Autumn Budget in the House of Commons last week.
