Chris Fischer made a brutal joke about divorcing his wife, Amy Schumer, years before their marriage woes made headlines .

In honor of the comedian’s 40th birthday in June 2021, Fischer presented her with a birthday cake that read, “I’m leaving you. This was the only way I could think to do it.”

At the time, Schumer, now 44, posted an Instagram video that showed her receiving the questionable chocolate dessert from the chef while her loved ones serenaded her with a rendition of “Happy Birthday.”
