SIOUX COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) - While the snow may have stopped, the cleanup continues.
Snowplows have been busy getting the roads fit for drivers again. But, it can be a dangerous job.
Some plows have been hit by other vehicles on the road.
In a Facebook post , the Iowa Department of Transportation said eight of its plows have been hit since the weekend.
While the Iowa DOT didn’t say where those accidents happened, DOT did say other drivers drove into the back of the plows because they were either driving too fast, or weren’t aware of their surroundings
Snowplows kick up clouds of snow as they plow the roads so a DOT spokesperson said the drivers couldn’t see they were driving into a plow.
If you see a combination of blue, white, and amber lights that means you are approaching an Iowa
