A Florida man with a "come back with a warrant" doormat was arrested in a large-scale mortgage fraud scheme, authorities said.
Christopher Musick, 57, of Daytona Beach, was arrested on charges of organized scheme to defraud and grand theft over $100,000, Volusia County Sheriff's Office officials said Tuesday. Volusia County Sheriff's Office
According to the sheriff's office, Musick would create fake documents to pose as a real estate investor and owner of multiple business properties.
He would get mortgages against the properties, use the money to buy more that were then rented out as he pocketed the money and never paid off his loans, officials said.
After interviewing Musick, detectives with the sheriff's office's Financial Crimes Unit "established probable cause to execute a search
