Truck crash, fuel spill closes southbound U.S. 131 at I

GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- A semi truck crash and fuel spill closed southbound U.S. 131 at I-196 on Tuesday, Dec. 2.

The crash was reported before noon on southbound U.S. 131.

Grand Rapids firefighters reported that a person was trapped inside the truck and needed to be freed from the wreckage.

They also said the crash involved a large diesel spill and that a hazardous materials team was at the scene to clean it up.
