For 15 days in March 2016, while still a Congressman for New Mexico's second district, Steve Pearce undertook a solo flight around the world.

Pearce's westbound journey began in Las Vegas, Nevada, as a tribute to U.S. soldiers who died in the Vietnam War and to honor the courage of all who have served in the military.

Nearly a decade later, Pearce, a veteran U.S. Air Force pilot who served in Vietnam, pieced together those days in a new book co-authored with his wife, Cynthia Pearce.
