After her father was stabbed — at least twice — and nearly bled to death in a brutal attack in July at a Walmart store near Traverse City in which there also were 10 other victims, the young girl knelt to pray.

The young girl's mother joined her.

The 41-year-old, Aaron Boudot, lived, thanks to the quick actions of strangers and doctors, attorneys representing him said Tuesday. But he and his wife are now suing in Circuit Court in Grand Traverse County for damages.
