WAIPAHU, Hawaii (Island News) – Multiple suspects are at large following an apparent robbery that occurred in the Waipahu area on Monday afternoon.

The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) reported at around 1:20 p.m. officers responded to a robbery that occurred on Waipahu Depot Road.

A 28-year-old man reported that two unknown men on a moped pulled up next to his open vehicle window and threatened him with a knife. The unknown men then proceeded to rip the 28-year-old’s gold chain from his neck before leaving the area.

Officials did not share whether any injuries were reported or the descriptions of the suspects.
