I’ve been told there wasn’t much acting needed in the car commercial brothers Brady and Matthew Tkachuk did with their mother a couple of years ago.
In the ad, the brothers are sitting side-by-side in the middle row of a Hyundai SUV — Brady in his Ottawa Senators uniform and Matthew in his Florida Panthers gear — punching at each other when their mother pulls the car over to separate them and puts Brady in the back row. As the mother drives away, Brady hits Matthew with another jab.
I was told by someone close to the family that’s what it was like just about every time the Tkachuk brothers were driven by their mom to a hockey game or practice while growing up.
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree when you consider that their father, Keith Tkachuk, accumulated 2,219 penalty minutes d
