A Hampden pop-up bar is looking to bring even more holiday magic to the neighborhood that famously hosts the annual "Miracle on 34th Street" light display.

Bar Santa, run by Charmery co-owner David Alima and Chef Craig Falk of Big Softy, is taking over the former Paulie Gee's Hampden space at 3535 Chestnut Ave. for the entire month of December. The holiday-themed bar serves seasonal cocktails, nonalcoholic drinks and even some pizza — this time Detroit-style, rather than the Neapolitan slices that were a staple on the menu at Paulie Gee's, which closed in February .

"Christmas in Hampden is magical," Alima said. "It's always been magical. It's such an amazing neighborhood."
