SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
Sacramento Republic FC President and General Manager Todd Dunivant will leave the club at the end of the year and take on a role with New York City FC.
The Republic on Tuesday announced Dunivant’s departure after seven years with the club, first as general manager in 2018 and then also as president beginning in 2021.
Dunivant has been a driving force behind the construction of the Republic's new soccer stadium at the Railyards and led the team through seven postseason berths in eight seasons.
The club’s achievements under his tenure also include Sacramento’s Cinderella run in the 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup when Sacramento became the only second-division club to reach a championship match in the tournament since 2008.
