Police have released the name of a man who was shot to death in Northwest Portland in September.

Shiloh Thanos-Young, 22, died of homicide, the medical examiner concluded.

Thanos-Young was found by Portland police officers in the 2900 block of Northwest Nicolai Street at about 8:36 p.m. on September 23. The officers were responding to a report of a shooting.

Though paramedics quickly arrived, Thanos-Young died at the scene, police said.

No arrests have been made, and police ask anyone who might have relevant information about the case to send an email to homicidetips@police.portlandoregon.gov or call 503-823-0479 and reference case number 25-262941.
