For most people living in Greater Manchester, the M60 is a crucial road they use to get around the city.
With regular congestion being a common issue, particularly during commuting time in the morning and afternoon, there is another issue facing the M60, which has now been raised by the Department for Transport (DfT).
In a written parliamentary question, Jim McMahon, MP for Oldham West and Royton, asked the Secretary of State for Transport about "inadequate drainage" on the major motorway due to the issue of surface water flooding.
The Labour MP wrote: "To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment she has made of trends in the level of surface flooding due to inadequate drainage on the M60 motorway." View 2 Images
