The Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign was a major boost for the Norfolk Haldimand Community Hospice.

Participating restaurants in Haldimand and Norfolk sold more than 54,000 sweet treats, raising $108,000 for the hospice building, which will be constructed just north of Jarvis.

“This generosity shows the heart of our community,” said Andrea Binkle, executive director of the hospice, in a media release. “Thanks to every person who bought a Smile Cookie —and to Tim Hortons — we are able to carry the light of comfort, dignity, and compassionate care for individuals and families facing life-limiting illness and grief in our region.”
