Netflix’s Playing Gracie Darling , a mystery drama series led by Kristina Bogic and Morgana O'Reilly, begins as a story about childhood fears but quickly evolves into something deeper. The series, out Dec. 1, follows psychologist Joni Grey (O'Reilly), whose childhood best friend Gracie Darling (Bogic) disappeared under bizarre circumstances connected to a group séance the two girls and their friends performed in the woods years earlier. Over time, the disappearance became a sort of local myth, inspiring the town’s kids to create a game named after Gracie—one which treats the teenager almost like a ghost story. Now, another member of the prominent Darling family has gone missing, and Joni finds herself drawn back to her hometown.
