ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Law enforcement has given an update in the manhunt for a Rockdale County inmate who escaped Grady Memorial Hospital on Monday.
Timothy Shane, who is considered armed and dangerous, escaped from the hospital shortly before 1:30 a.m. while in deputy custody, according to the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office.

On Tuesday morning, the sheriff’s office said investigators found a silver Pontiac Grand Prix Shane had allegedly stolen, dumped at a Publix on Highway 155 in Henry County. They also discovered he had requested an Uber to a home in south Rockdale County, according to deputies.
