VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A Virginia Beach man was sentenced Tuesday for killing his coworker in 2021, according to the Virginia Beach Commonwealth’s Attorney.
Treshaun Lamont Snipes, 26, was sentenced to 36 years and 12 months in prison for the 2021 murder of his co-worker, Keyon Turner.
The sentence came after a bench trial in July 2025, in which Snipes was found guilty of first-degree murder, use of a firearm, and carrying a concealed weapon. The judge suspended 40 years of the total 76-year and 12-month sentence.
According to court records, Snipes approached Turner at his home on Feb. 5, 2021, and shot him multiple times. A bystander saw Snipes flee, though they could not identify him. Ring doorbell footage from a nearby residence later captured Snipes running from the scene, which help
