Before a professional athlete can dream about playing 1,200 games in his career, he must start with one.
Ottawa forward David Perron will play the 1,200th game of his NHL career Tuesday night at the Bell Centre against the Canadiens . And if that milestone wasn’t going to occur in St. Louis, his home on three occasions throughout his career, Montreal was the next best alternative for the 37-year-old Sherbrooke native in his 19th NHL season.
“You try to make it as much of a normal game as it is,” Perron said after the Senators’ morning skate. “But, obviously, any time you hit a bit of a milestone like this, it’s special.
