FARGO — The sharps who set betting lines on Football Championship Subdivision games have opened the door for my personal playoffs nightmare, while simultaneously making the Mountain West Conference an even more attractive option for the local program.

FanDuel posted its FCS lines Monday night and by early Tuesday afternoon they looked like this in games involving North Dakota State, South Dakota State, South Dakota and North Dakota:

NDSU -23.5 over Illinois State in Fargo.

Montana -1.5 over SDSU in Missoula.

Mercer -6.5 over USD in Macon Georgia.

Tarleton State -6 over UND in Stephenville, Texas.

The Bison are heavily favored to beat the Redbirds and if they don’t it would rank as the most shocking loss NDSU suffered since its dynasty began in 2011.
