SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - A special session will be held focusing on adopting the 2026 budget for Caddo Parish.

On Dec. 2, at 3:30 p.m., a special session is being held for the Caddo Parish Commission regarding the 2026 budget.

During the session, the general public will be permitted to speak, except by a two-thirds vote of the body to suspend.

Commissioners will also be able to direct questions to the appropriate staff, agencies, departments, or initiate debate or comment.

Each budget ordinance will be voted on and debated during the meeting.

Seven ‘yes’ votes are required to adopt any amendment to a budget ordinance, and seven ‘yes’ votes are required for final passage.
