MONROE COUNTY, Pa. — It was a messy start to the morning commute for drivers in Monroe County.

On Route 33 north in Saylorsburg, Newswatch 16 found this crash. State police say no one was hurt. Road conditions were sloppy as the snow fell throughout the morning.

People who live in the higher elevations, like Mount Pocono, tried to get errands done before the roads got worse.

"We had to pick up prescriptions, yeah, that is important, can't go without them," said Mary Oetzel, Lake Harmony.

"Oh yeah, they said on the news last night that we were going to have something like this, so I woke up this morning, started shoveling out, so I could come out here and get something from the store," said Lorenzo Flowers, Long Pond.
