DENISON, Iowa (KTIV) - A judge has granted a prosecutor’s motion to dismiss charges against a Crawford County, Iowa, woman accused in the death of a baby in January.

Court documents show 23-year-old Sarah Lembke, of Charter Oak, was arrested in January 2025 after her baby died.

Prosecutors charged her with child endangerment resulting in death, and Lembke pleaded not guilty.

In November, the Crawford County attorney made a motion to dismiss the charge because the evidence collected after Lembke was charged didn’t support the charge she faced. On Monday, Dec. 1, a judge agreed and dismissed the charge.
