FOXBOROUGH — After reviewing the film of Monday’s 33-15 win over the Giants, there was one play along the sideline that Christian Elliss regretted, but it wasn’t the hellacious hit he laid on Jaxson Dart.

Elliss went viral for sending Dart airborne as the Giants quarterback tightroped the sideline in the first quarter, but as soon as he saw the replay on the Jumbotron, he knew that was a good tackle.

The Patriots linebacker’s regret came on New York’s final drive.

With 2:10 left as the Giants tried to mount a final comeback, Dart found Devin Singletary in the flat, and Patriots cornerback Carlton Davis missed a tackle. As Singletary cut upfield and ran up the sideline, Elliss tried to give him a shove out of bounds.

“I kind of laid off,” Elliss said.
