HUNTINGTON — Marshall athletic director Gerald Harrison provided an update on plans to fix problems that arose with the Thundering Herd’s video board at Joan C. Edwards Stadium on Saturday.

“It’s important that we respond in real time when things happen,” Harrison said. “You guys are obviously aware that we had another video board failure in the fourth quarter. It started in the first half. I’m proud of our team here for getting it fixed, but then we had a shutdown in the fourth quarter during a crucial point."

During the final game of the season on Saturday against Georgia Southern, the video board’s interface periodically shut down. This prevented the game clock, score, play clock, down and distance and timeout count from being on display. It simply went dark.
