OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. — On Tuesday, two people were injured in a car crash in Ottawa County, the Sheriff's Office says.

The crash involved two vehicles and happened around 2:49 p.m. at the intersection of US 31 and Port Sheldon in Olive Township.

The sheriff's office said a 2023 Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling south on US 31 pulling a Utility trailer when it struck a 2015 Nissan that was traveling east on Port Sheldon.

The driver of the Nissan, a 42-year-old from Holland, was pinned in the vehicle and had to be extricated. The sheriff's office said they were brought to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Chevrolet was a 43-year-old from Kentwood. They were brought to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the sheriff's office.
