NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - An officer with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) rescued an injured barn owl in Warren County.
Warren County Officer Jason Ramsey responded to a call involving the barn owl on Sunday, Nov. 30.
The TWRA stated that initially, no one knew what had happened.
A passerby noticed the owl, and when she moved closer to the bird, it didn’t move, the TWRA said.
The TWRA said Ramsey safely transported the bird to a licensed wildlife rehabilitation center for care.
The rehabilitation professional, Greg Garrison, told the TWRA that the owl was released on Monday morning.
