Thousands of U.S. flights have been delayed as a storm system moves across the country.

The delays began this past weekend as Thanksgiving travelers headed home. On Saturday, nearly 2,000 flights within, into and out of the U.S. were canceled. By Sunday, total flight cancellations had been halved, but more than 13,000 additional flights were delayed.
Among the top U.S. air carriers, those traveling on Southwest Airlines and American Airlines faced the most delays. Southwest also had the greatest number of flight cancellations on Nov. 29.
