AUSTIN, Texas — Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is investigating online retailer Shein over potential violations of state law after reports of forced labor and the sale of unsafe products.

The company is known for rapidly producing clothing and home décor products at a low cost to customers. It was founded in China and is now based in Singapore.
