Presenter Laura Woods seemed to faint during a live broadcast while presenting the build-up to the England women's match against Ghana on Tuesday evening. The 38-year-old host, who is engaged to Newcastle's Adam Collard, was fronting ITV's coverage of the Lionesses fixture when she unexpectedly pitched forwards, with Ian Wright and Anita Asante managing to catch her.

Coverage swiftly moved away from the studio, although sound momentarily continued capturing Wright enquiring after Woods's wellbeing before the channel went to a prolonged break. Upon the programme's return, Katie Shanahan had assumed presenting duties, informing audiences that Woods had been "taken ill but she's in very good hands".
