BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - The FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY will remain in effect through the first half of the night as snow continues and conditions worsen.

Low pressure is now moving off the coast of the MidAtlantic and will be passing to our SSE later on tonight and into early Wednesday morning. For most communities only a few inches of snow have fallen thus far. More is on the way along with periods of moderate to heavy snow. This means conditions will continue to deteriorate during the first half of the night. The rain/snow battle ground remains along the immediate coast and for some coastal Downeast spots, the line has set up slightly farther southeast.
