David Pastrnak will miss his third straight game on Tuesday when the Bruins play the Detroit Red Wings.
And it sounds as if he’ll remain sidelined through the week.
“We gotta be careful with him,” coach Marco Sturm told reporters . “He’s not skating this week, so I don’t expect him to play this week. He definitely needs a few practices or a few skates, I would say.”
Pastrnak didn’t travel with the Bruins to Detroit. He didn’t skate in Boston on Tuesday, but Sturm is hopeful that he’ll soon take that next step.
It’s unclear what is ailing Pastrnak. He was on the ice prior to Boston’s Black Friday matinee against the New York Rangers , but didn’t play.
Despite still being without Pastrnak, the Bruins will get another forward back against the Red Wings.
