ROBERTSDALE, Ala. (WTVM) - Veterans and several charitable organizations came together just before Thanksgiving to break ground for the first building at Warrior Legacy Ranch near Mobile, Alabama.

With the turn of a shovel, a dream is one step closer to reality. Warrior Legacy Ranch founder, Patrick Jump, set out on this journey to help fellow veterans after realizing the healing power a reunion can have over a group of veterans who served together.

The project - near Mobile - started with him buying twenty acres in rural Robertsdale two years ago with the goal of taking that burden off those who need help.
