An SUV driver was arrested Friday after he was accused of pointing a handgun at another motorist on Route 287 in Passaic County, authorities said.
Christopher Paul, 44, of Canadensis, Pennsylvania, was taken into custody after the incident unfolded shortly after 1 p.m. in the northbound lanes near Exit 55 in Wanaque, according to New Jersey State Police.
Troopers said they received a report of a Tesla driver pointing a firearm at another motorist and pulled Paul over at a shopping center on Route 17 in Franklin Lakes in Bergen County.
Paul was charged with two counts of second-degree child endangerment, second-degree weapons possession, fourth-degree aggravated assault and multiple counts of fourth-degree possession of hollow-point bullets.
