PHOENIX — A Valley man has been arrested after allegedly killing his girlfriend in late November, authorities announced.

On Monday, 64-year-old Virgil Lee Lindsey was booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail on charges including second-degree murder related to the death of 66-year-old Lilly Jean Fields, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

He is being held on a $1.1 million bond.

Why was Valley man arrested for murder of girlfriend?

Phoenix police officers found Fields dead on Nov. 22 near Third Avenue and Pima Street, just south of downtown Phoenix.
