HAVANA, Fla. (WCTV) - A Gadsden County man who was found guilty of first-degree murder in connection with a 2023 armed robbery will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Ty’rone Washington was convicted of killing Lewis Butler, a security guard at an internet cafe in Havana . He was also found guilty of the attempted murder of the store clerk, who was shot during the attempted robbery.

On Tuesday, he was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for numerous charges, including first-degree murder.

He was credited with 749 days already served.
