PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Phoenix police say an arrest has been made more than a week after a woman’s body was found in a downtown Phoenix neighborhood.
Authorities said Virgil Lindsey, 64, was booked into jail on Monday in the death of 66-year-old Lilly Jean Fields, who was identified as Lindsey’s partner.
On Nov. 22, officers were called out to 3rd Avenue and Pima Street on reports of a dead body just after 1 p.m. on Nov. 22. Officers found Fields’ body, but police have not released how or where she was found, or how she died.
Detectives also haven’t said what linked Lindsey to the crime scene.
Authorities do not believe anyone else was involved. The investigation is ongoing.
