SAN JOSE — Two people died in a four-vehicle collision Tuesday morning on Highway 87, authorities said.

The two victims were an adult and a juvenile, according to a press release from the California Highway Patrol San Jose office. Their names will be publicly released following confirmation of their identities and notification of their next of kin.

Emergency responders reported to the scene of the crash, on the northbound side of the highway near Curtner Avenue, at 10:49 a.m., authorities said.

Upon their arrival, they found that four vehicles were involved in the collision, authorities said. Three of the four involved vehicles — two Teslas and a Lexus — caught fire.
