OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Wounded Warriors Family Support has been serving thousands of metro veterans for the past 22 years.

One of the main programs for the nonprofit is the mobility is freedom program. ,

Their new “Light Up America” campaign is a nationwide movement to honor our wounded veterans. Every donation given lights up a state on the interactive map with a Bronze Medal, Silver Medal, Purple Heart or Medal of Honor marker.

When the map begins to glow, it’s a tribute to those who have served our country.

“Coming off Veterans Day and now we’re into Giving Tuesday, it’s such an important day to give and what better way to honor our veterans than to give to our veterans, not only monetary but just lighting up a state for a veteran,” says CEO & President, Kate McCauley.
