WOOD COUNTY, Ohio —
Wood County is joining other counties in the state in tracking deaths by suicide.
"Our hope is that over time, not only will we understand the causes better, but we'll be a lot more effective at heading off suicides so that families can be spared that impact," Wood County Health Commissioner Benjamin Robison said.
The new Wood County Suicide Fatality Review board is made up of leaders from the Wood County Health Department, law enforcement and local mental health service providers, including NAMI Wood County, which provided the following statement:
" NAMI Wood County is honored to serve as a partner of the Wood County Suicide Fatality Review Board. We fully support this important work and its commitment to strengthening our community’s response to suicide. Toget
