Cleveland Heights Mayor Tony Cuda called the planning commission’s recommendation on an alternative rezoning plan for Severance Town Center a “big step,” even as he emphasized that it is only one in a long series of actions still ahead for the city.
“I don’t expect zoning to be finished this year,” Cuda told the Cleveland Jewish News on Nov. 26. “It will be done sooner than later, but we only have two more (council) meetings (this year). It’s really hard to gauge what on Severance will be done in the next month. But I would say in the next few months, it’s probably likely to take a step or two.”
The planning commission will meet on Dec. 10 to discuss issues it had not yet, such as parking, civic spaces and other general standards associated with the property.
